I'm curious as to how she'll handle having the baby around. Belle is so well behaved, but she's used to all the attention. Are you worried about that?

it'll be an adjustment. for sure. and yeah, it's something you worry about, but what can you do? You just have make sure you take time after the baby arrives for one-on-one time with just each of them (as likely as that time can come :(), but that's a big reason we have several folks lined up to help what not and WHY we felt we had to do a b'day party (even though I'm not up for it, really) - just because a baby is coming doesn't mean her world stops, ya know ( ... )

Sounds like you're really prepared (not that I had any doubt!) :)

Belle does seem well behaved from what I have read from your posts. A co-worker of mine had a daughter that is about Belle's age when she had her son. Her daughter did exceptionally well with having a new sibling. It was not until her little brother's first birthday that they really had any problems with jealousy but she did not do well with the whole preparing for his party.

I think it is a great idea that you are still doing her party and making such a big deal about it.

Hopefully I can make it to the next Milk Mommies. I would love to meet her. She sounds like such a cutie.

we'd love to have you! The next milk mommies is ON her b'day so she'll be silly. We're bringing Care Bear theme cupcakes (my mom and sister are going to help us make them Saturday).... of course, that's if Baloney doesn't come! but if so my mom or sister will stick around and take care if it all ( ... )

I'd love to see pictures of your doll when you're finished.
I've been looking for affordable Waldorf-like dolls for my little ones lately and .. sheesh. A hudred bucks so my kids can slime the things with body fluids? No thanks.

yeah. crazy, huh.

I'll send you the links later tonight (bookmarked at home).

Not too much into materials. 10-20 maybe? The fabric i got for 3.99 a yard at joanns. had to buy some cotton thread (like crochet/tatting thread), doll needles. i wanted to use wool batting but my boss hasn't been here (was going to see if he had some "old" wool from his sheep) so i recycled polyfill from a pillow up in the closet. for the stockingette I've used pantyhouse that was really stained pilly in the toes.

I bought dc floss to match belle's eyes and I had the other colors already.
