Dr Strange!

Went to see Dr. Strange today. No spoilers, but I will say that the special effects were amazing (saw it in VMax, 3D) and BC was actually really good in the role. Well, I think he's good in everything *g* but I thought he really did an excellent job here. Some funny moments, and some nice little shout-outs to other Avengers movies. And, as is ( Read more... )

I probably won't end up seeing Dr Strange - I followed a lot of the DC/Marvel characters in comics in my youth - but haven't felt particularly compelled to follow them on screen

Although, I did enjoy the X-men movies (I think I'm behind on a couple).

Hope your PC holds out - and I'm glad to see your idea of 'important files' is very much my idea of 'important files'!

I was never a Marvel / DC comics person (I preferred Archie comics, and the Chipmunks!) and wasn't particularly keen on seeing any of the films, until I read somewhere about Tony Stark having metal lodged in his chest, which would kill him if it moved... the angst potential of that was so high I had to go buy the first two Iron Man movies, and surprised myself by enjoying them. I guess I just like broken things. *g* I've never seen an X-Man film though.

Some of the songvids I've downloaded have disappeared off the net completely; I'd absolutely hate to lose them in a crash. Most other things I could replace, but not some of those.

I have been reading about Dr Strange and it does sound good. In or after the end credits did you see Thor (Chris Hemsworth)visiting Dr Strange in New York? An article in today's paper said that Thor: Ragnarok, which has just finished filming down here, will have an expanded scene of that clip in the Thor film which won't be out for 12 months. (Hope you can figure what I said. *bg*)

It IS good, I want to see it again! Yes, the bit you mentioned was about halfway through the credits; Dr Strange sitting with Thor and quizzing him about his reasons for bringing his brother Loki to New York. Interesting stuff! Thor was dressed in civvies, as he was when he was sighted around Brisbane during filming of T:R.
