Bought a new computer today, or at least ordered it. I only went into the shop for a look-see, got talking to the salesman and the price of the machine I was looking at just kept getting lower. All up he knocked $300 off, then gave me a 5% discount because I work in the shopping centre, threw in a 22 inch Asus monitor instead of the 19" one that

It was brilliant. I'd been thinking of replacing my pc and looking around for a while, but wasn't intending to buy just yet. Couldn't say no, though, when he started knocking the price down and upgrading for free, and without me even asking! Eg when he mentioned the 500G hard drive, I just nodded and didn't say anything, then he jumped in and offered to double the size. Same with the monitor. And because I've been looking around I knew it was a really good price he was offering.
Now I just have to wait for it to be built. Should be able to pick it up early next week.

If I'd stayed... but I had to get back to work so I'll never know! Still, I'm happy enough with the final price.
