My PC died yesterday :-( . It suddenly switched itself off, tried to reboot then shut down completely. It may be something simple, but at its age I'm not going to worry about having it repaired - I got seven years out of it so can't complain. Walked into work this morning to find that the weekend's system upgrade was the exact reverse. What a mess! There's a bunch of DVDs I want to make screencaps from but I don't know where to start. I know there are some tremendously talented cappers out there (waves to sunray45 for starters) - what programs are you using? How basic / involved are they? What's the simplest to use? A push in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Fiddling around with the netbook, registering my antivirus program, and during the procedure I was required to enter my email address. All fine and dandy, except that every time I pressed the @ symbol, the quotation mark symbol appeared instead.
