After all the rain in the late afternoon and early evening, the rest of the evening was fine. Although the sun didn't come out again, there was a very brief flush of pink in the sky late at night.Clearly my memory is faulty. You can see the rain making ripples in the water in the first photo. I think the HEAVY rain stopped but it continued

I'm in love with that place through your photos. It's not real! The reflected shimmer in the water in photo 2 is wonderful.

It is a bit self-consciously pretty and, like a lot of these places, most of the houses/cottages/flats are second homes and holiday lets, so there aren't all that many "real" residents.

You've done very well in less than bright light in Norway. The photos are lovely. I really like taking photos when it's stormy skies or twilight. You've given us such a lovely insight into Norway with your photos :-)

Digital makes it much easier to take decent photos in awful light imho. Much easier than slide film, anyway - print film is more flexible but I've never used that much.

I love the dream-like light, especially the sky in the first one and those pots of daisies.

There's definitely something special about the light at northerly latitudes, even in bad weather.
