After all the rain in the late afternoon and early evening, the rest of the evening was fine. Although the sun didn't come out again, there was a very brief flush of pink in the sky late at night.Clearly my memory is faulty. You can see the rain making ripples in the water in the first photo. I'm in love with that place through your photos. It's not real! The reflected shimmer in the water in photo 2 is wonderful.

It is a bit self-consciously pretty and, like a lot of these places, most of the houses/cottages/flats are second homes and holiday lets, so there aren't all that many "real" residents.

You've done very well in less than bright light in Norway. The photos are lovely. I really like taking photos when it's stormy skies or twilight. You've given us such a lovely insight into Norway with your photos :-)

Digital makes it much easier to take decent photos in awful light imho. Much easier than slide film, anyway - print film is more flexible but I've never used that much.

There's definitely something special about the light at northerly latitudes, even in bad weather.
