It's polarised, hence dark sky, white clouds.

Have you read the book Johnathon Livingston Seagull? this pic reminds me of it. Its a great pic. Fabulous sky and clouds!

This is gorgeous - sky so blue it looks dark. A nice change from sky that just looks dark!

That's done with the magic of a polarising filter - makes blue skies darker and white clouds whiter.
