One Little Victory

Take a look at this video. This was one of my first ever CrossFit workouts (sometime around November 2007). The WOD was called "Terrible Twos" - 2 mins max reps of each: max cals on rower, pullups, burpees, pushups, and squats. It was not kind. I didn't know enough to be afraid. I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but it was nice to see you struggle. It was kinda easy for me to think that you just normally kick that much ass without much effort. I guess I'm seeing more of the end result of all the days like this one. You are definitely a machine now, and you're one of my inspirations.

I agree with April, it was VERY encouraging to see you struggle so much. Every day is such a struggle, and I see so many people looking like they just cruise through it. Knowing where I am now, and seeing where you were, puts me on a more level playing field. Thanks for this!

Dude, you are the man. Every day is a struggle. We emerge victorious, but not without a fight. Something about that makes us better for having gone through it.
