Happy new year, everyone! I live. I am psoting from between classes--am so glad this week is more or less over.

I've been forgetting/neglecting to pimp my Kinkfest things over here--will do so now.

Yes, the VS one is safe! L's prompt, and she read it.

Also, I kinda need your new address for purposes of cookie, but you have not been on AIM.

well, she's been extensively spoiled for those last x minutes and I have not, but it doesn't sound like it'll contain anything I couldn't read. Huzzah!

ah, yes, that'd be helpful, wouldn't it? (much like this morning, when I was upset at the USPS website for not giving me a shipping quote for "canada". ) I can be on this evening if you will be around, or I could email it to you?

I'll be around. I intend to leave for purposes of Gym at around 6:30, but other than that I'll be here, cookieing and trying to kinkfest, or Drace, or something.

I'm a bit curious as to the influence of this on your Zecht (or his work in general)

...I honestly can't summarize my thoughts very coherently right now (at all?), but I think you've elevated past the expectations on that one, and even the stream-of-consciousness piece, because really, it could've just been candy-coated PWP and it seems like you try to put a little twist on what people expect (or I expect) these challenge-fics to be. Sometimes I completely overlook your stories and just skim right through them, only to come back and get SLAPPED IN THE FACE by everything I missed the first time. Hells bedamned, I've never even finished Tactics and I read through the Delita/Ovelia, if only for the fact I suspected it might be interesting! So...yeah. *train flies off the tracks, off the side of a cliff, and BURNS INTO OBLIVION*

I had my opinion of Zecht as more snake than cat at the start--but I honestly though the prompt was rabbitprint's, or one of his fans', and so modified. The characterization of Zecht that I use I like to think is my own. I see differences between mine in Reconstruction and Lucas' in his own work, as with our respective Zargabaaths and indeed, out respective Draces.

Personality-wise they're different enough (Although you're Zecht is rare and less well-defined), I guess it was just the corn-rows that gave it away. Your respective Zargabaaths and Draces, however, I could NOT confuse.

It was interesting as well, the story that is, because after the comment she made of him in canon ("That what Zecht got for ho-in' around wit Vayne." "SNAP!" "Oh no you didn't!"), I suspected the two as not to be on fair terms/of like mind.

Yesm the cornrows are a nod to Lucas, as are my Draces' plaits in Chrysalis. And yeah, I've had a Zecht epic planned for a while, but I never get around to it.

What is 'Gremio'? arslan_ibn_daud September 14 2007, 01:47:02 UTC
Seriously...this sounds like one of those shibboleths to cultural literacy I'm going to need someday.

A bit of background: About 9 months ago I had to work remotely with an MIT student named gremio. I just thought it was a cute id vaguely related to his name, but missed any cultural significance. He's cool, though a bit fanatical with Ruby, but then he built a good website with Ruby on Rails.

So you are the 2nd source of "gremio"...is that some LoTR character too? :D

No, Gremio's a character in the Suikoden series of video games. It's also a common Italianate name, and Shakespeare likes it.
