Aw, this was great! The world needs more Kara and Kon interaction. I really wish they got to hang out more together in the comics.

I really love the description of Kryptonian culture and the music, too.

I know, they'd work very well together, I think. I was so tickled to see them talk in the recent crossover--it happens so rarely...

I like the idea that Kara is--well, at this point once more one of the few beings who knows Kryptonian culture first-hand. It makes her an important connection for both Kon and Kal, I think. I'm glad you liked it!

He drifted back into consciousness to the sound of music, eerie and inhuman, beautiful.
The description of the music and Kara playing the crystals ("like a theremin" - WOW - that was a great choice, IMO) was wonderfully written.

“You know,” Conner waved a hand. “Always some crisis or another.”
"Some crisis or another" - nicely said. And I think it's quite true in this case. :)

Kara snorted. “Kal has a tendency to make them way too mythical. I understand it, but to me they’re just...Uncle Jor and Aunt Lara, you know? They laughed a lot. They made mistakes. They were just people, nothing epic.”
Oh, she said it well. But I think I can understand why Kal sees his parents differently than Kara.

I loved Kara-Kon interaction in this story! And the lullaby - with "sadness and hope and love" - that was so beautiful!

Don't theremins seem really Kryptonian somehow? Something about the sound, and the fact that you play it without touching anything...

Yeah, and in Kal's case it's more than his parents, it's that they stand for all of Kryptonian culture, too. It's very natural!

I'm glad you liked this...these two really need more time on-screen together! I'd like to see the Super-family become a little more close-knit. Maybe they could go hang out with Superman while he's walking?

Oh, I was thinking especially that you play it without touching anything fits Kara as Kryptonian perfectly. But right, the word theremins sounds very Kryptonian too. :)
