Although I have to mention that, since rai-dreamer's illustration of Bruce was with bat wings, every time Clark likened Bruce to a bird of prey, I kept thinking "bat." For some reason, that mental image was vastly amusing...

Bat of prey! :D

And Bruce, you sly fox you. I loved how he slipped the "marriage" part in there. And Clark is left all cute and flabbergasted... I also loved J'onn's reaction. He's so unflappable, so calm.

J'onn is so wonderful for a character that doesn't share Earth superstitions and mythology, and so just sees this as a sort of shift in power levels. He's always matter-of-fact about bizarre things like that, and I love him for it.

I do feel sort of bad for Bruce though, never again to sample Alfred's exemplary cooking. Such a unparalleled punishment (at least for this foodie)!

Oooh, good point, that is sad! *pats Bruce* Although I'll admit canonically he's often shamefully oblivious to it anyway. :)

I do admit some disappointment that Clark's suggestion of making love to his pinioned bird/bat was ( ... )

Squeeeeee! This ending is just so cute that I don't have sufficient words for it. It's just... perfect. Also, Dick's commentary during their family dinner was funny. ^_^

I don't use Dick's POV often enough, because his affection for both men is so warm and wonderful to write. :) I'm glad you liked it! I almost forgot to include an epilogue when I originally wrote it (somehow other peoples' reactions are generally not something I think about writing, lol!) but Rai reminded me to, and I really liked the results!

I'm sure other members of the JLA will have problems, but Bruce and Clark can win them over eventually, I'm sure. :) Glad you liked it!

This was the perfect ending. I really enjoyed this story. It is one of my favorites. Well written totally delightful tale.

Thank you! I'll confess it was one of my favorites to write as well. :) The plot and romance aspects came together very naturally--not a common occurance for me. :)
