Oh, Clark, baby! *clings to him* I'm so glad to see him go home to his parents. And Martha knew without him saying a word. Of course Bruce would hide from everyone. That's who he is. *rolls eyes* Clark's thinking of Superman! Whee!

I decided we hadn't seen anything of Smallville and Clark would probably go home for at least a little while! But yes, there is a kind of person who really prefers not to be "on display" when they're ill, you know? Bruce is the kind of person who's just not comfortable being around people when he's not at his best, I think...

So much goodness in this chapter! :) Dick hurt and angry, Jean-Paul calmly taking the cowl, Jason's concern for Bruce, Barbara's insight, and Martha knowing immediately what the problem was with Clark. Clark sending Lex the selfie of him and the cow made me chuckle. :)

Smallville always re-charges Clark's batteries. He's got the perfect gimmick coalescing, and even Lex will finally acknowledge he's got something.

I do hope we get to see Dick!Bats in the future. I like Jean-Paul, but you know my heart's with the pretty acrobat! ;)

Clark moving forward and being part of Bruce's life? Excellent! :)

P.S. Martha knowing about Clark's orientation and her disdain for the Kryptonian gimmick, knowing it's not right for him, is pure Martha. And I bet pure Jonathan, too. :)

I really enjoyed writing all the other characters this chapter! They really make a good counterpoint to Clark and Bruce sometimes...

I do hope we get to see Dick!Bats in the future. I like Jean-Paul, but you know my heart's with the pretty acrobat! ;)

I'm pretty sure Dick is destined for a time as the Dark Knight as well, eventually. :) And maybe some championship gold as well!

I don't know why Jonathan didn't show up in this chapter, but it was all Martha, for some reason! She had things she wanted to say, I guess...

Clark’s first reaction was a surge of relief: Bruce was capable of typing, he wasn’t permanently injured. He held on to that relief as Luthor put his phone away, eyeing Clark with an expression as neutral as milk.

”Anyone but Grayson,” Dick said, his voice choked. ”Anyone but Grayson!”

*wibbles and hugs them both*

“I’m done with that gimmick. I won’t play the Kryptonian again. That’s over,” said Clark. He was surprised at how level his voice was. “I won’t do it.”

Yay! *cheers Clark on*

“Hey, you’re the one who’s been texting us all nonstop--where’s Bruce, is he okay, what should we do?” Tim mimicked.

Jason flushed and slumped lower in his seat. “It’s none of my business,” he muttered, “I just happened to be in town--I’m out of your stupid playacting biz.”

Eeeee, Jason! *hearts him*

Dick looked down at his phone and grimaced. “I...don’t know anything for sure,” he said. “I’ve got some hypotheses

Poor Dick! I don't think Bruce realized Lex would show that message to Dick or he might have put it differently...

I didn't expect him to be there, he just showed up! He has a tendency to do that...

The cow selfie made my day to imagine! I suspect the cow was staring into the camera and looking confused as well...

This turned out to be a very family-focused chapter, and that made me really happy!

I loved Lex baiting Tim, I loved Team Batfamily having an outraged burger and fries huddle, I love Clark sending snarky cow-milking selfies to Lex, I love the ending of this chapter GO CLARK GO GO GO, FIND YOUR MAN, KISS HIM BETTER

I loved to see Dick, Tim, Jason and Barbara together with Clark, thinking and talking of Bruce.

It made me really happy to write! I didn't expect Jason to be there, but then there he was! :D (You don't argue with Jason...)
