Very exciting chapter! Sad to see Robin fly away from the nest, but that was a great twist Bruce laid on him. :)

So Dick's off to Europe? Wonder who'll he find there? He collects people like the Mad Hatter collects hats! :)

Harley was a hoot! She and Mistah J. will make a great team. I do fear for Jack, though. He seems headed for a great fall. Just a feeling. :(

Good scene between the Kryptonian and the Dark Knight. Sounds like the crowd got their money's worth! :)

I liked Bruce's speech to John. That's a good way of looking at things.

It was VERY satisfying to write that iconic break-up as an act, somehow! The hit is real, the emotions are not... :)

I liked Bruce's speech to John. That's a good way of looking at things.

In wrestling documentaries you'll always see people talking about how yes, the fight where they won the belt was "fixed," but the emotion behind it is very real--all that work and dedication paying off and reaching the symbolic pinnacle of the craft! It's such a strange business that way...

"We've decided to put the belt on…" Luthor paused and there was a combination of eye-rolling at the theatrics and honest anticipation. "...John Stewart."

Ahhhh, yay, John! And I loved his reaction too!

"And the Dark Knight will start up a storyline with the Kryptonian."

Eeeee!

"It's got to come from the heart, he taught me that," said Dick. "You can't just read a prepared speech, it's got to be inspired. You have to feel the crowd, adapt to them. Milwaukee isn't the same as Detroit, and last week isn't the same as this week. It's all about rhythm and flow and kairos. That's Greek for 'the supreme moment, the perfect timing,'" He explained to Ollie's puzzled face.

"Okay," said Ollie as cautiously as if he were talking with a dangerous lunatic. "You...you have fun with your kairos."

*giggles a lot* because OLLIE. BUT BRUCE.

And then the Dark Knight backhanded him across the face, one sharp and brutal blow that seemed to resound through the arena

That is so typically Bruce, isn't it? I bet he used kairos in their superhero lives to explain what he meant to Dick. :)

Eeeep! Oh my, seeing that scene in this AU! (I'm quite glad there a nice scene with Dick and Bruce after it!)

Those two scenes are exactly why I'm loving this AU, because you can have all the things that are upsetting be kayfabe and the reality be something very different! *dances*

Ah, I just loved that little mention of Harvey! :)

It's crazy, there are SO MANY characters all jostled around in there, and some of my favorites get pushed to the side (someone else was asking where Barda went, and it's just that sort of...there are only so many lines, alas!)

Harleyyyy! I was so happy to have her show up--and like I said earlier, now I get to write her relationship with Joker as the kayfabe part, and her friendship with Ivy and Selina as the "real" part, and that makes me very, very happy. :)

It was better than before, Clark thought as the Dark Knight slammed the Kryptonian's head into the turnbuckle and he staggered backwards with the recoil, better than with Country Clark Kent and Billionaire Brucie. He rallied and started trading punches with the Knight, his every right hook to the jaw countered by a right hook to the gut in perfect rhythm, a waltz of violence and catharsis. He knew Bruce's body so well now, knew how its very sinews and tendons worked, could read every flex and strain. Bruce's body and eyes spoke to him and his spoke back, as clearly as if they were calling to each other, and it was more intimate and vulnerable and triumphant than anything they had ever done in bed.

Oh, and this was just... *flails*

"It's funny," he muttered. "It's all fake, you know? I didn't beat Sinestro in a fair fight, I didn't win the belt through my physical prowess, it was all decided in advance. And yet, in the moment when I held that belt and realized I really was the champion…" He trailed off and shrugged

Oh, and this was just... *flails*

Mmmmm, having them as partners and rivals and lovers all at once is just wonderful to write!

And ah, I'm so glad you enjoy Bruce being so eloquent about wrestling (and kind of hopeless about everything else, lol!)

John's going to have a good long run as champion, even if we, uh, don't see a whole lot of it! Time flows really oddly in this world and I try not to keep track of it too carefully. :)

And, of course, wonderful to see Clark and Bruce working an angle together again. I find it adorable that Clark finds it more intimate than anything they've done in bed. Silly adorkable man.

He does! And he's so many peoples' first and iconic Lantern thanks to the animated series, I really wanted him to have a better shot!

It was! And she and Ivy and Selina absolutely hit it off here, they're going to become the terror of the locker rooms, pulling pranks on everyone.

Fantastic chapter with so much going on. I had so many emotions going through me at different times. I was sad to see Dick go. Excited at the thought of Bruce and Clark having a match together. I Cracked up at Dr. Q I think her and J will make a GREAT Team! I hope robin comes back soon. Wonderful!!
