Oh, there was so much I loved about this chapter! Lois! Jimmy! The Flying Graysons - the mention of Diana, I can't wait to see her, OMG!

But of course the Clark/Bruce moments were the ones I loved best, them eating in the parking garage and Bruce taking Clark home (!) at the end...

But this line was my favorite:

"Anyway, I don't get much time to spend with my--well, my foster-father, the man who raised me," he said. "It was good to see him again."

ALFRED!!! All the Alfred feels! I so want he and Clark to meet...

Thank you for sharing this, I so enjoyed reading this update! :)

Alfred! Oh my, I really can't wait for him and Clark to meet. It was a real challenge to write all of these characters--big ensemble pieces are not my strength, and so I'm glad it's worked so far...here's hoping I can keep it going a bit! :)

"Lois Lane. I work for the Wrestling Planet."
YAY Lois! And “the Wrestling Planet” :D

"Then why are you in a Metropolis airport?" Lane persisted, following him. "The DCW is the only game in town here."
Smart girl. :)

"So did you get grilled by Mad Dog Lane?"
:DD

"I hate being dishonest," Clark said.
Bruce slugged him on the shoulder. "I bet you didn't tell a single lie."
"I said I was in town to visit a friend."
"Well," Bruce said, "Here I am. You're visiting me."
:lol Loved this dialogue. :D

Or--wait, I know--the chauffeur needed your approval for some upgrades to the Lamborghini."
The mention of the Lamborghini is awesome! :D

"--The Flying Graysons!"
Great! :)

"Well," said Mary as Clark and Bruce hid their smiles, "You'll always be the Boy Wonder to us."
YES!

As it turned out, it was none of these things. It was instead an entirely bland set of beige boxes in a building of middling price, with no decorations on the walls, no photos, and only the most functional and Spartan of furniture. It revealed nothing about Bruce at ( ... )

It was so much fun to get Lois in there! I wasn't sure when I started if she'd be in the industry or out of it, but it made sense to have her be an outsider, in a lot of ways...

And Bruce's Super-Boring Apartment, yes! No personality there at all...it was actually kind of fun to try to imagine a room that reveals nothing about its owner...

And yes, alas, being worried about Dick's parents is...not a bad idea. T_T I'm feeling really sad about it now! I don't want to write it!

Yay! One of my absolute favorite things about having a busy spell is that when I come back there's, like, an embarrassment of Mithen!fic riches to enjoy! And oh boy am I enjoying. Even if I am already desperately scared for The Flying Graysons. And deeply looking forward to Dick's horrible scaly costuming decisions. :D The Boy Hostage indeed. I am surprised Jimmy Olsen hasn't horned in on that title. :P

Bruce's hotel soap is awesomely thrifty and sad. Like, here's a Bruce that has sort of learned how the other half lives through his time rubbing elbows with other wrestles, and it's strangely adorable to see that expressed through hoarding free soap.

And I love it when you get back because your comments are amazing and wonderful! :)

I am so glad you liked the hotel soap, it seemed so very Bruce in this universe somehow. It's really funny how things translate into a wrestling life but still make sense (I hope!)
