Isn't it an amazing image? The mind boggles completely, somehow... :)

As long as Jim does not let Bruce near the stove, I am sure everything will be fine.

I'm sure they'll also buy fire extinguishers while at Walmart! :D

Hee! Jim sitting back-to-back with Bruce! And giving him the bigger bed! And books! I haven't read Camus or Dante, but I have the others! Whee! Off to Wal-Mart! Let the domesticity begin!

Why, yes, I'm a little tired. Whatever gave you that idea? ;)

I confess domesticity was exactly what I wanted to show in this story--they've just both had such a rough time of it, shouldn't they have some time to shop and read and relax! *pats them both*

They both deserve it. They've given so much to Gotham. It's about damn time they took a break (together, of course).

Oh, this is awesome! The touches of humour interspersed with the serious aspect of Bruce reinventing/rediscovering himself is really sweet.

I thoroughly enjoyed this and can't wait for the next chapter.

Getting to write Bruce's sort of deadpan humor was a big part of the fun of this one, I'm glad you're enjoying it so far! :)

Bruce--didn't flinch, but all of his attention focused on Jim in one instant, the quick unconscious movement of a wild animal touched suddenly.

Wonderful line and wonderful image.

Have you read Lost to the Night and The Way Back, two series by Esther-Channah? I've really enjoyed them. (They open with Batman being exposed as Bruce Wayne and ending up in Arkham for a year or so. The sequel, a WIP, is called Unrehearsable.) She does awkwardBruce with awkwardJim (non-slashy) really well.

I haven't forgotten that I promised to send you the Cat Tales music files, BTW. My life totally imploded right after we e-mailed about them and it's taken about 6 months to get back on track. I should be able to get to it this holiday season. メリークリスマス!

I put it on my to-read list this fall because I've chatted with her about writing and it sounds so cool! Real life has been a real pain, but I'm hoping to get to it soon, because it does sound like my cup of tea. :)

Obviously I hear you about life imploding! :) No rush at all, I haven't been in a place to enjoy it lately anyway...but I hope to be soon!
