Batman #1: Written by SCOTT SNYDER; Art by GREG CAPULLO and JONATHAN GLAPION
Superman/Batman #87: Written by JOSHUA HALE FIALKOV; Art by TOMÁS GIORELLO
So I've been trying to post scans from my two favorite comics each week so far. Sadly, last week only two comics didn't make me unhappy! (It was not a good week!) One was Birds of Prey, which

I knew it was coming with the reboot, but being reminded...augh.
NOOOO DICK. I hope it -is- just the setup for him being the Joker.

Man, I don't really want to read lots of Bruce condemning Dick and Dick being all desolate, but it...might go there! I hope not, but I'm sure even if they do it'll all come out okay eventually...

I like Bruce and Clark's moment up there, too. Clark *does* land very, very gracefully!

The one complaint I've seen with Capullo's art, which I think is pretty reasonable, is that Dick is so tiny compared to Bruce!
The main complaint I've seen around were Damian's sneakers. Bur I loved them. :)
Also, I don't have the panel here, but when Bruce first sees Alfred in the book, the caption says "Alfred Pennyworth. Caretaker, Wayne estate. Access level: Highest."
I loved that part. The boy's all having high access level and Alfred, of course, highest. That's just awwwwwww.
I'm so excited to see where Snyder will take this. His take on the relationship between Dick and Bruce really appeals to me, but I hope this "misunderstanding" won't have lasting effects on it. Love me some Batfamily.
I'm sad to see Superman/Batman title go, but I still hope that once they get all the origin stories out of the way it'll come back. *holds fingers crossed*

Is it considered not in-character that he'd dress casually? But I can kind of see him insisting that sneakers are more practical and he's not wearing some ludicrous squeaky tight shoe...

Love me some Batfamily.I'm guessing things will be tense and unhappy through the middle of the arc, but that things will be roughly restored to their proper place at the end. Snyder seems way too fond of Dick, and way too invested in Dick and Bruce's relationship, to cause a really permanent split. *crosses fingers ( ... )

Some people I've talked to seemed to think that way and it took me really by surprise. I can't see Damian thinking of clothes as anything other than functional.
I'm looking forward to more issues of Batman and Nightwing, now. It seems the relaunch thing went well for me with this part of the universe. :)
I'm glad to here we'll se another Superman/Batman title. I just hope it all works out.

Oh Bruce looks sooooo amazing in this issue. I admit, I know there are other things that are important in comics. But if my favorite hero (and the other characters) looks good - it’s always a nice bonus for me.
Batman is fighting most of his rogues in Arkham, and the Joker comes out of his cell and helps him, to the rogues' shock.
I have to say - Joker working with Batman - it was surprising. :) And the next scene with “Joker” talking to Bruce in the cave was great.
Heee, Damian's sneakers!OMG! I didn’t notice the sneakers until now! (True, I was so preoccupied with Bruce and his boys’ beautiful faces, tuxedos and Damians snarky remark :D, I totally forgot to check out their boots :D ( ... )

I agree! I know it's better to have a good story than an attractive Bruce, but...if I can have a good story AND an attractive Bruce, I'm even happier!
Exactly! I thought about it as well. And it seems weird to me - I think, as Batman or now as Nightwing again, Dick doesn’t look so tiny and smaller than Bruce, IMO.
You would think people MIGHT have noticed that Batman suddenly became a foot shorter for a year... ;)
The ending was pretty cliffy. Interesting thing - there is a mention about Dick being a killer in the end of Nightwing comic as well. I’m curious if there is a connection between these two comics in this.
That's interesting! I know Higgins and Snyder were working together in Gates of Gotham, so I wouldn't be surprised if they synched up their stories for the relaunch...
And Clark’s : “Just hold on a second Mr ( ... )
