It was surprisingly hard to keep him Batman in a world where he knows Superman early! Whenever I considered him finding out earlier, he was like, "OK then, I will now be Oracle and a super-financial backer and fight crime that way!" So he had to be kept in the dark, which was hard... But I did like how it worked out, and I'm glad you did too!

"Oh," Clark whispered, startled into joy unforeseen. "Oh."
\o/ I love that it's just pure happiness for him.

It's funny, that's such a Robin thing to do. It really brings out all the ways he's not just younger here but happier as well.
*grin* It really is! It kind of parallels Clark's slightly dickish behavior--while Superman does have that (rather unfortunate) history of sometimes being a jerk at times, it does sort of hint that they've rubbed off on each other just a bit without realizing it.
Oh dear. It's interesting -- to some extent, this battle means that there were supervillains before either of them got going, but at the same time this means that Bruce is inspiring his own villains. It's a nice twisty moment in the middle of triumph.
*nods* That's one of those things with Batman, isn ( ... )
