Okay, so this is pretty much perfect. Dunno what the fallout is going to be, but at this point it hardly seems to matter. Actually, something like this, simple as it is, might be enough to fix things. Because it's so emotionally resonant that it kind of washes Harvey's actions out with a very big, very public display of heroism, and the people of Gotham get in on the act themselves. And it does it without making the original solution a definitive mistake, because that allowed them to survive long enough to get to here. <3 So yeah. Perfect.
Love Babs so much here. Also Bruce. Also Clark. Also Alfred. Also you!

I feel like that's the only way to go for Nolan in some ways--I kept waving my hands at my beta and saying "He's gotta save, like, a busload of nuns where everyone can see him!" and damos was like "I think the Gordon kids will do, actually..." :)

And it does it without making the original solution a definitive mistake, because that allowed them to survive long enough to get to here. The passing of time is a really important part of it, I think. If something like this happened right after the events of TDK I think people would be more demanding to find out the whole truth about that night. Give it six or so months and maybe there's a new equilibrium in place, a balance that can shift a little to include a more ambiguous Batman. I hope ( ... )

Oh man... this was... that was... *SO MANY HUGS!* That was amazing and epic and dramatic and I loved it SO SO MUCH! I'm SO SAD that this chapter, this entire series isn't canon because it deserves to be! It's WONDERFUL! You and Damos need to pat yourselves on the back, it was just epic and amazing! Well done!! <3

Eee, thank you so much! Now I'm really dying to see how Nolan decides to wrap it up, but I'm kind of happy as well that I get a year or so of this being my personal canon. :)

FLAILFLAILFLAILFLAILFLAILFLAILFLAIL!!!

Ohmigod that was so freaking epic. So intense, I was on the edge of my seat. This was perfect, you epitomized what Batman, and specifically Nolan's Batman, is all about. The boys did so well! BRUUUCE! CLAAAARK! BRUUUUUCE!! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

I admit the action got a bit confusing in a couple of places, and I had to read those bits over a few times to figure out what was going on. But I figured it out. ...Love Harley in this, by the way. I think if Nolan had written Harley, she would be like this. That was a pretty excellent trap she'd devised, too.

......Swiss Army knife...? *headtilt*

I AM EXCITE FOR THE NEXT CHAPTER. SAD THAT IT IS THE LAST, THOUGH.

You should have seen it before it was betaed. *wry grin* Nooooo, maybe you shouldn't have. I spent a fair amount of time cursing and envying comic book writers and film-makers who can just do a bunch of quick cuts and then zoom out to show everyone what's going on, lol.

......Swiss Army knife...? *headtilt*

*grin* Bruce refers to Alfred as his "Swiss Army knife butler" in the last chapter, so that's his way of telling Clark to go talk to Alfred, who'll know what the names mean. A throwaway line at the time!

I'm really eager to post the next chapter and give the boys a little bit of quiet time to recuperate and discuss things! jeez, there hasn't been much time for it at all, I'll be very satisfied if I can give them a little rest.

Yeah, as if Bruce will just kick back and chill. >_

Yeah, visual storytellers, the damn cheaters. *shakes fist*

Aaaahhhhh... I didn't remember that line. That's totally awesome how it came together in this chapter, especially if you didn't actually plan for it!

***HUGS***

Haa, poor Bruce, everyone wants to hug him and he's too beaten up to be hugged right now. Well, maybe he's a little relieved... ;)
