I finally got around to taking pictures of the punkins I did last weekend. The sizes are officially child and toddler. Given they fit an 8 yer old and an adult, they turned out a big bigger than suggested, but that was what I was banking on. cross linked to punk_knitters.

My invite finally came in. I am so excited, as it helps to make today a bit less crappy. We are fending off IRS nightmares, which I will explain when I am able to speak, but in the meantime, I will play on Ravelry!

Yesterday's lab reviews were from 3-5 and 7-9 pm for today's lab practical in invertebrate zoology. I was nice and offered the reviews, as I figured this was going to be ugly. Turns out I was right. I got in this morning at 8, typed up the exam questions by 8:30, and headed downstairs to set up the practical. I was there for 2 1/2 hours before ( Read more... )

I realized that I have not posted any FO's since the end of the spring. Unfortunately, I have not got all the knitting done I would have liked, but when is that ever going to happen. I finally finished the racer back tank top for my graduate student defended her thesis this term. It is made of Lion Brand INcredible Emerald isle ribbon yarn. As we have graduation this Saturday, it is done just in the nick of time.

In the middle of cranking out wash clothes for Christmas presents to parent-like figures, I made a pair of voodoo wrist warmers for nymph to give to her teacher. They are striped in school colors, and made out of some of the knitpicks machine-washable Crayon yarn. Had to resize it a bit to fit the yarn, but they turned out pretty nice.

I have been meaning to post pictures of some of this stuff for a while, but keep adding stuff to the set. This "finished" set of products is a pair of knitty's fetching, the one baaad poncho by helloyarn, a cabled belt, and a simple (non-cabled) hair tie cloth. I haven't gotten around to posting FO's in alittle while, so here are a couple of shots of things I have been working on. The afghan took up a lot of time, just because it is so big. The Voodoo wristwarmers were a long weekend of car knitting, which have recently been some of my most productive times. Anyway, here they are.
