All hail Uzumakiism!

As stupid, ill-informed, and naive as this sounds, all the jaded Naruto "fans" make me feel really guilty for still enjoying this supposed PoS and make me feel better about not delving into the fandom ( Read more... )

Heh, I meant Naruto the series in the first mention. Bad wording on my part. But it's long been known even Kishimoto likes Sasuke more than his own main character, who happens to also be the title of his manga. And a lot of Part II was devoted to Sasuke, so. XD;;

I've pretty much left the fandom altogether (although my Sound headband still never leaves my neck XD), so I know what you mean. I didn't intend to; it's just that I randomly thought 'Oh yeah, I liked Death Note, too, let's fangirl that for a bit' and forgot to stop. >o<

The manga lacks the awesome it used to have, but I still read it religiously every week. I got this far -- I can't stop now!

That said, if you asked me to summarise part 2... I probably couldn't do it. XD Awesome bad guys that got pwned too easily, Sasuke having more angst and forming a gang and Jiraiya dying. Oh, and something about frogs.

OH WELL, maybe Kabuto will be back in it again soon and my love will be rekindled? He better have some gay flashbacks or I will not be happy.

Yeah, other shiny fandoms distracted me from it, too. I still keep up with the manga, but sometimes my curiosity gets the better of me and I read the chapter discussions just to be stupidly disappointed and guilt-tripped for seeing the points they're arguing but agreeing to disagree on my own. It's like, I know I'm wrong for being okay with how this arc is playing out, but I'd rather choose to be wrong about it than see it the way the smart fans do. I mean, it doesn't even sound like they like the series all that much anymore, and I still do, so I don't want to be near their negativity. And I know I'm blowing this all out of proportion and not making any sense, but whatever. XD;;

Gaaaah, I really want Kabuto back. He's still my favorite Naruto villain, and he needs to do something. What, I don't know. Honestly, if he just showed up in the background having supposedly watched this arc unfold from the shadows, laughs at how dumb everyone is, and disappears, I'd be content for some time.

*butts into the conversation* Sorry!

Kabuto is bound to come back sooner or later. He swore revenge (Oy, again with the revenge!) against Sasuke and he said that he wanted to fight against Naruto as well. So it's really only a matter of time. I can't wait until he comes back. Kabuto is part of the good old times of Part 1 Naruto after all.

I personally hope that Kabuto will come back really uber and kick Sasuke's ass, but considering that Sasuke is Kishi's favorite I'm guessing that Kabuto will just put up a good fight and ultimately be used to hype Sasuke even more. :P

LOL! The Naruto fandom can be so retarded sometimes. I try to stay away as much as I can from the craziness of the fandom. Although, it is fun to watch them bitch and claw at each other sometimes. XD

Personally, I'm laughing at all the fans who are pissed about Nagato being converted to Uzumakiism (Uzumakianity?). I mean, it was pretty obvious that it was going to happen. I didn't expect it to be THAT easy but well... whatever! I stopped having high expectations for the series a long time ago so I'm just along for the ride now. ^o^

That's the thing. A lot of the people over at chuunin have the same low if any expectations for the series anymore, yet they still like to complain about how bad each new chapter is, groan about when this arc is going to be over already, and pride themselves for being right and intelligent. It's annoying.

Eh, just ignore the haters. They take away from your enjoyment of the series. If you're enjoying the story then that's enough. From what I've seen, the people over at chuunin are mostly comprised of Akatsuki fans and Sasuke fans so it's only natural that they're upset. Nagato just got converted to Uzumakiism/Uzumakianity by Jesus Naruto and Sasuke hasn't had any panel time for a while now. LOL!

I honestly don't understand why they're so disappointed. Naruto is a wildly popular shounen manga. Were they expecting stellar and sophisticated story telling? Just look at Bleach. *snorts* My enjoyment of Naruto has actually gone up ever since I stopped expecting Kishi to deliver uber plot and writing.

Ughhh, I hate the Naruto fans who don't even like the manga/anime anymore, yet still continue to read/watch and complain about everything. JUST GO AWAY ALREADY PLEASE! I still love the series. I'm retardedly obsessed with Sasuke, but I love Naruto just as much. No matter how "bad" Naruto gets, I'm pretty sure I'll always enjoy it, because I love these characters and I love the relationships they've built. I will go down with this ship, etc.

I can understand if they want to criticize some of the storytelling decisions and developments and maybe compare them to more strongly written chapters or story arcs within the series. But sometimes they're being so negative about how the series is unfolding that I wonder why they're even bothering. Go back and read the parts of Naruto you did like, or take a break from the series and cool down. I don't know, it's just aggravating ( ... )

OH MY GOD YES. Why is Naruto fandom so fucking negative lately? -_- It's like it's NEVER happy. I actually like this arc--it's really important to Naruto's character, imo. It's showing how he's worthy of being Hokage, of achieving his dreams, besides him just being the title character.

I still contribute to fandom, but I really find it hard to participate when it seems like the expected attitude is one of negativity. What. The. Fuck.

And all the Sasuke parts made me yawn. I don't hate him, but I'm largely indifferent to his character and find his backstory a bit... much. And I refuse to feel sorry the title character is getting the attention he deserves.
