Um. Yes, I do know that I haven't updated, or even commented much, in more than a month. But I'm still alive, yay. For the sake of the easily bored, the rest is behind a cut. That is, if I can still remember how to lj-cut...

Which reminds me, I have to make a decision about which E-mail client to use on the new computer. I hate to go to Outlook, but Netscape has dropped its POP3 client and only has Webmail now. Stupid Netscapers, what are they thinking? Suggestions for a solution, anyone?

I thought support for Thunderbird had been discontinued? If not, I'll definitely try that, thanks.

As far as I know it's still going as usual. The site says nothing about discontinuing anything, and the latest release was just a couple of weeks ago.

We've missed the worst of it, we're on a hill. But about half a mile inland from us, I hear it's pretty bad--lots of impassable roads. I didn't realize how widespread the problem was until I read your post; I think I'm glad I didn't know, or I'd have been worried! Glad you're OK.

I am having a profound moment of relief right now. Good to see you posting! I knew that between the holidays and computer issues and regular issues, you probably just hadn't been able to get around to it. But you're missed when you're not here. *hugs*

I totally think you should name your new laptop Wilson. Just 'cause. :-)

(And I'm pondering that Writing Rules meme, myself...I'm gonna have to do it, but it's gonna take some thought!)
