Some time ago, sallymn gave me a D, but I misread the instructions and got confused. (Sometimes a Duh moment stretches out a bit, yanno?) But I'm not confused any longer, at least about this. the first two pages of a short story I meant to write, called 'Djinn Taxi'. Sounds good already :)

I frst came across defenestration in history, so it was always someone, not something, going out the window...

It makes you wonder exactly what kind of culture needs a word for throwing people out of windows.

And the reason I never finished Djinn Taxi was because the ending hinged on a perfectly horrible pun--I was terribly ashamed not to be able to think of a better ending. Though I'm about to perpetrate a Jarriere-Vila story that hinges on a worse one.

Yep, "Fenster" comes from the Latin "fenestra". Damn, I love languages. :-D
