Also, I'm THRILLED that you liked this little arc. For all its shortness (Empty Nest was 26 chapters long and didn't give me half the trouble this one did!) it was a PAIN IN THE ASS to write.

This part of the story was remarkably well written. I was drowning in the words and their emotional impact. I would read a sentence or 2 and was so amazed that I had to re-read them before I went on. That's how it was for this whole chapter- I read most parts 2-3 times. After the tearful reunion of father and sons in the bedroom; I read this and choked back a sob-
>>He watches his father turn to leave the room, sits up when Nash turns out the light.
"Dad?"
"Yes, Russel?"
Russel falters, worrying his lower lip with his teeth. "You'll still be here in the morning, won't you?"
Nash looks pained. "Yes," he says. "I'm not going anywhere."
