Full Metal Alchemist, "Idiot," Roy/Jean, very hard R
Happy "Spank Havoc" Day! I'm not thrilled with this prompt, it didn't give me nearly enough wiggle room, but that's okay, fic's fic, so let's leave it at that.
This one's written with gratitude towards my partner, goathens, for running the anime showing for me so I could write this, because I got busy and didn't prepare it ahead of time. ♥

Idiot

Jean's mother is no idiot.
She knows that it's painful for her son, seeing his former superior now that he's out of the Military and unable to return, forced to live as a civilian, helping her tend the shop she built with her husband. However, she also knows that Jean is a grown man, perfectly capable of deciding whom he'll meet and whom he'll turn away.
Besides, he always seems so happy after Roy comes to visit, smiling for days like he used to smile, before.
It's good, she knows, for him to have friends, and where he's got Heymans, the big man is more like a brother than a friend, and she's pleased to see that her little boy has made friends with such a refined, intelligent man as Roy Mustang.
Which makes it all the more embarrassing when she overhears Roy telling her son that he's a beast, one that he'd not be surprised to learn was born in a barn.
"Now Jean," she calls through her son's closed bedroom door, arms crossed over her chest. "You be nice to Mr. Mustang, or I'll give you a spanking."
And it works. She can hear Roy laughing as she makes her way down the hall, into the kitchen.
Satisfied, she sits down with her cup of tea, and forgets all about it.

"Next time, Jean," says Roy, wiping Jean's semen from his hair and grinning, "we're going to the inn by the station. Wouldn't want your mother to have to spank you, after all."
Jean glares at him and doesn't say anything, absently rubbing the red mark where Roy smacked him on the tush for coming too quickly, and without warning.
He's certain, now, that his lover really is an idiot, after all.
