Today at work a regular that comes in everyday was wearing one of those Lance Armstrong yellow bracelette things. Have you seen those things? It's like a yellow rubberband and it says "LIVESTRONG" on it. Apparently it costs one dollar and all the money goes to cancer research, and they have sold millions of the little buggers. I understand the cause behind the bracelets, but I wouldn't wear one. The bracelets seem, dare I say, too TRENDY, for me to actually wear in public. I truly feel for your dillema. Now you'll have to shower in that thing.

I never equated being single with being sad. I loved being single 80% of the time that I was without a steady partner.

I think it because of just plain jealousy. My group of friends that I hang out with all the time have all been with thier signifigant others for a great deal of time

Miguel and Gretta- 5 years
Bort and Jen- 6 years
Tom and Jen- 3 years
Bryan and Mindy- 1 year, but they are married
Cody and Nikki- 2 years

So I think it is my natural thing to want to be like my friends, "they are doing it, that should be what I am doing".

I think that not being like everyone else, at least the ones in this extremly closed group of people that I hang around is difficult. I am just trying to take that pressure off of myself.

I don't think you pissed him off by taking it, it sounds like he believes in the cause strongly and wants to share it. Kind of like the missionaries who are always handing out books about Jesus at the airport and bus depot. They want you to take the book, and hope that you'll read it and learn something. How that compares to a bracelet, I've even lost myself off this train of thought. You did kind of lock yourself in on this though, now you have to wear it all the time.

I dunno, because I see him everyday. I feel like if someone gave you an everyday item, like a bracelet, maybe they'd see it as a slightly rude thing to not wear it. Maybe this is my neurosis coming through. I dunno.

Tell him you saw Dodgeball & were pissed off at what an asshole Lance Armstrong was in the movie & refuse to wear the bracelet anymore.
