On this post-Thanksgiving mid-morning, I am most thankful for all the bargain shoppers that require my services. I am thankful for the calm, affable mood they all will surely be in on this fine early morn. I am thankful for the cold weather and the darkness, which do not mock me. I feel your pain there -- I was up at 3:00am, to be at work at 5:00am; though, that's my normal schedule, which is kind of crazy in itself.
And thankfully, being in the airport, we're not a big retail destination today. Though, the coming weekend with everyone flying back out of Portland will probably be pretty insane.

I hope you make it through today.

Play some Ramones. They'll help you through it.
Or just go hear, click on "Rockaway Beach", and wonder who decided it would be a good idea for a group of children to back up the singer from the Dwarves.

today makes me want to ram my head into the wall for still working in retail. christmas at ann taylor means dealing with groups of women, usually families, who've driven to the summit from some backwoods trailer park. they come in, trash the place, proclaim everything to be too expensive, and then proceed to the next store. three cheers for sale vultures!
