[Filtered to the Emerald Forest Investigators || Unhackable]
Mr Edgeworth, I trust this will suffice as evidence.
The photographs that follow illustrate the evidence given to me by my associate, which he collected from the house of Alexis Hargreaves.
[Photographic Evidence || Emerald Forest || 29th July]
This is a common cotton handkerchief stained with Emerald Forest. The handkerchief was delivered to me folded like this, but wrapped in brown paper.
The poison, being fairly liquid, soaked through the top few layers of the folded handkerchief, but didn't go any further, luckily for my associate who was carrying it.
Still more photographs of the handkerchief soaked with the Emerald Forest poison. All photographed today, July 29th.
The green stain shown in these photographs is, unmistakably, Emerald Forest. If you examined the poison after finding it on the doorknobs, I'm sure you recognize the colour of it.
If any require proof, I'm certain it could be tested and compared to the samples already collected from the poisoning incidents.
It's quite dry, but the dryness reduces the potency only very slightly (hence my glove). I spoil more gloves doing things like this--
This item was delivered to me wrapped in brown paper, as I said, which I have also kept if anyone should like to see that. It was given to me, bundled, wrapped like a gift or a package.
My associate located the Emerald Forest in my father's possession and took a sample of it on his handkerchief, which he then delivered to me. How, precisely, he did this, I can only guess, but he is strangely skilled at these things.
If anyone has any doubt that I am truly holding this item, I can produce both the glove and the chest on which I've laid the handkerchief. I didn't have a copy of today's newspaper at hand or I would have included that, certainly. If anyone, the police included I suppose, wish to see this item in person, ask for me at the opera house.
I believe that this proves, without a doubt, that my father, Alexis Hargreaves, operating under the alias of 'Mr Carlyle', ordered the machines Blitza Airflyer made which spread the Emerald Forest poison around the City. The true extent of Blitza's guilt is yet unclear, but he was responsible for building the machines, and my father provided the poison to put in them.
However, there were other poisons spread that same day. While this proves my father's involvement, it does not reveal who else may have been involved. Thusfar, my associate has said nothing about the other poisons that were in the City that day.
So we have at least one of the riddles from that day solved.
I don't like having to cooperate with the investigators like this, and the police are soon to follow-- Fine, let them come--
I do ask that this be kept relatively quiet. If news of this new evidence spreads, then our suspects will hear of it as well, and they'll disappear before we can catch them. And consider the danger my associate is in now that this has been passed to me.
I hope this
~C.
[ooc: Arts and crafts time yay~!! There's your Emerald Forest Cameras are pretty available in the City, and Edgeworth was helping. N.B.: this has all been cleared with Alexis-mun. This is not accusing any of the other members of the Social Club of doing anything--just Alexis. Hi dad.]
