I've never heard such sentiment over a clock. And really...who would do that?...what would anyone need a giant clock for?

All is well. The culprits turned themselves in. It was mostly the work of Vern of the Cactus House. And Ben got some sweet revenge, so I hope that my wall clock will remain unmolested until I move out in (Gasp!) a month.
