turtlecest (i'm baaaaack XD;;;).
i was re-watching the fight between Raph 'n' Leo in the 2007 TMNT movie to a different RENT song, actually, but Light My Candle was the one that followed right after on my playlist and i got lazy with pressing the back button to repeat the first song (i like making it repeat manually).
so i watched through the fight with Light My Candle and, somehow, it came out as a Raph/Leo spoof of the one-awesome original XD.
so, if you haven't heard the song, or just want it, here's the original broadway cast version:

i've been wanting to see the song typed out into story-form for a long time, now, y'see XD.... i wanted to raise gold on Gaia to have a contest of who could write the best one 'n' everything! i thought about writing it myself, but i think about writing a lot of things, too, so it inevitably got lopped into the Forgotten Zone for a while....
then, the event where i was watching the 2007 TMNT movie while listening to Rent happened. and then...line after line, the lyrics replaced themselves with new words to fit Raph an Leo. ...kinda. ... >__>;;; ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW IS THAT I STARTED TO WRITE IT AFTERWARDS, OKAY?
at first, the idea was that whole concept of "only ONE character is truly sane", Raph being that character. then...it ended differently XD. they're both as in-character as i could make them, all the while squeezing them into the spoof's mold as well (that's not a good thing to do as a writer, is it? ._.;;;). well, it came out finally. and i'm glad people liked it (kay commented again <3!!).
as for why i was listening to "Take Me Or Leave Me" to the TMNT movie? ^____^ fweheheh.... oh. you shall see soon enough.
