Was excited to read today that the show Jericho is going to continue in comic book form. Yippee! There is a promise to wrap up the dangling plotlines. Now I just have to track down when they start coming out.

So I got a nice healthy bonus from my house at Christmas. Given the state of the economy in general and my household specifically I was very grateful. Then I got the final estimates for the house repairs that are happening this month. Pretty much going to take the whole bonus and then some. So no big fun shopping spree for me. I did see family and left the house a little bit over the long weekend but mainly I hung out at home in my PJs and sleep a lot - a whole lot. My body is so very much happier now.

Because I plan on making the Sam's Club run for the party after work today since I am taking tomorrow and Friday off and won't be back up this way. Should be interesting in the tiny little rental car which is a hatchback and has the teeniest tiny little trunk space. So I had a small fender bender this morning. Totally my fault - although of course I will be pleading no guilty in court. The police came - they were nice. AAA came - they were nice. I just figured out that the itchy places on my hands (from messing in the yard putting up the yards and yards of candy cane fencing - with which I have had electrical issues) is poison ivy. Well, of course it is. It just never occured to me that I could get it this time of the year. Luckily it's only a tiny tiny bit.

The Oregon Senate race just got decided - the Republican incumbent has conceded, although they are still counting votes.

I just checked the Secretary of State's website and as of 10:55am they are reporting Chambliss at 49.9%, Martin at 46.7%, and Buckley at 3.4%.

Arrived at 9:15 - finished right at 11:00. Line moved steadily the whole time which was encouraging. The line was not any shorter when I left than when I arrived. Thinking no one in Ormewood did advanced voting. But there were lots of donated treats - free water and coffee as well as cake, chips, and other sweets ( Read more... )
