"It first hits the cement" or "Dance in the rain"

Ah, Friday. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways:

  • Had a cool dream last night/this morning.
  • Saw a rainbow on the way to work this morning.
  • Was early to work this morning.
  • Flirted with a couple of guys at The Coffee Bean near where I work while waiting for my weekly Pumpkin Pie Ice blended.
  • Had a REALLY good burrito for lunch.

  • dreamed a little dream, pieces of me, any colour you bring, random life events, holidays

    -Burritos are always awesome!
-I can't believe you got such a cool storm!!! It's BARELY been raining up here, I'm jealous! Ruby REALLY needs a bath!
-I love the smell of the rain hitting pavement too. It's so distinct.

Happy to hear you had such a great Friday the 13th! We had a little party and watched a whole bunch of the movies; I didn't think I'd like them, but I actually did! They're just so iconic at this point, and the first one is actually kind of an amazing film, this low budget slasher movie that uses lots of thriller Hitchcock-ian tactics. Haha, not that I think you'd like it; it is a slasher movie. I just thought I'd tell you about the movie since we actually had a Friday the 13th. Fun party too.

  • Don't I know it!
  • It was like.... You know how in L.A., sometime in October or November, we get like, two days of rain and then it won't rain again until late December (at the earliest) or January? Well, those were our two days of rain in October. You're in the Bay Area. I'm sure it'll rain soon enough.
  • LOVE it!

I think I have seen one of those. Maybe not. I do remember renting a few "scary" movies with Rae and Nola a couple years ago. I've realized that while I don't actually like all the blood and guts and gore, it can be amusing by the mere fact that it's incredibly hokey. We laughed our heads off.
