"It first hits the cement" or "Dance in the rain"
Ah, Friday. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways:
Had a cool dream last night/this morning.
Saw a rainbow on the way to work this morning.
Was early to work this morning.
Flirted with a couple of guys at The Coffee Bean near where I work while waiting for my weekly Pumpkin Pie Ice blended.
Had a REALLY good burrito for lunch.
Drizzled on my way home. (I love when it rains in L.A. The smell of it when it first hits the cement! Ooo! I love that!)
Did end up writing some fic while at work.
Started raining harder just after I got in the door. Which means...
Just feeling that lightness and sense of endless possibilities that comes just when you get home from a week of work.
So yeah. Screw that Friday the 13th hogwash. I mean, it's still a Friday, right? Besides. It's 10-13, and therefore, it's practically a holiday. I mean, yeah, a few kinda crummy things happened, but they weren't so terribly overwhelming, and the good stuff from today WAY outweighs that crap.
Maybe I'll go out and dance in the rain. Or maybe I'll just do it here in my room. Need to find some good rockin' out music. Hum. May have to raid mom and dad's collection for that....

- I stayed nice and dry on my walk in from the car;
- I can hear the sound of it hitting the roof, which is something I love (it's even in my interests on my info page!);
- Ooh, I think we just got some lightning. YEP!!! There goes the thunder. Weee!
- I have the window open, cuz there's no wind to blow it into my room, and it's not coming down too terribly hard, so I can still smell it and;
- My car's getting a free bath! Living up in Tacoma, I never - oh, more lightning - went to get my car washed, because it always rained anyway, so there wasn't much of a point. Here in L.A., though, that's not the case, but I wasn't in the habit of getting it washed on a regular basis, and since it's usually parked outside, it has a tendency to get filthy. Now, it'll be all nice n' clean. I knew if I held out long enough, Nature would help me out!
