I actually considered that, but I'm not even sure there's a demand for such a thing.

There is! Roxy looked into it. But there's very few schools for it...

i would explore biology! i always enjoyed art also but it's easy to do as a hobby when you're doing other things. it's much harder to do biology as a hobby if your career is art. if that makes sense. i would at least stick with it for a little while and see where it heads. that's what i did and i think it worked out well.

medical illustration seems like it would combine art and science superficially, but it's a very technical type of artwork and you don't really get to add your own style. plus, we all just use netter's atlas anyway, hahaha.

ha ha, yeah I have noticed the majority of the "illustrations" in my books is mostly charts and diagrams. NOT TERRIBLY EXCITING. Nor is it pretty ladies, which seems to be all I'm capable of drawing. Ah well.

I do plan on sticking with the biology program, and maybe taking art courses as electives? I dunno yet. I really need to talk to my advisor.

There's a guy named John James Audubon, who combined art and biolgy quite successfully. Also, there's nothing stopping you from illustrating childrens books on Biology. I'm certain there's a market for books that connect pretty, glamourous girls with biology - especially since science is one of the subjects where girls consitently lag behind boys.
