LiveJournal feels abandoned, but specifically like an abandoned airport or train station. You just know that it used to be a bustling active location but now it's just this huge open space and every sound echoes into the vast empty space.

It's eerie, and feels like a post-apocalyptic movie - that's a journal - that no one reads any more.

I've been in therapy for over a year now. I'm amazed how much it has helped. I'm less likely to get derailed when bad things happen.

This is especially relevant right now. Our minivan through a rod through the engine block and it's going to cost about $7500.00 to fix. That is going to mean borrowing against my retirement funds at work. I just ( Read more... )

So, my whole family and I have been sick with what I suspect is Swine Flu. I've called off work twice this week and I'll likely quit soon. It will give me a change to take one or more of my ideas to market, and maybe change everything. Cricket seems to think everything will be fine monetarily, and she's the bills-maven. I can now make LJ posts from my phone. Provided, of course, this works.

We are officially moved to West Virginia.  Loki is attending his first day of Kindergarten.  All is well, and we're very excited what is turning into a very positive change.  I'm took a pay cust but Cricket now has a babysitting gig that will make up the difference.  I work 6 day a week but only from 5:30-11pm.  This leaves me lots of time to do ( Read more... )

Sorry I suck at tracking this stuff, and I've have almost zero internets time of late.

I've got lots I want/need to post about.  I simply need to make the time to do it.  I miss the catharsis of being able to share things about my life with trusted friends.  Hopefully I can back to that soon.

I started throwing up at 6:15 this morning.  I get fever chills and  my whle body aches.  I had to call offf from BOTH jobs today.  Playing hookie is always more fun when you aren't really sick!
