There's not enough therapy in the world....

WTF moment of the day: Father's Day is next weekend, so I called my mom to ask her what would be a good gift for my dad (seeing as how he pretty much buys what he wants when he wants it... leaves little room for good gifts.) So my mom says to me, "Y'know he could really use some socks & underwear ( Read more... )

LMAO!! You know I want to... I showed that to my mom, who agreed in its hilarity, but thought that my dad would get offended. I think maybe it has something to do with them comparing him to Saddam Hussein, Hitler, and that crazy old woman down the street... Bad juju.

Ooh, you have a good point! I think Max is already scared of my dad, even without the shirt... If the flesh men are frightened, I'd hate to think how my fictional boyfriends might react! :-O

BTW, are you gonna write that 'scene' in the fic soon?

Holy Crap! anonymoose_au June 16 2005, 01:46:29 UTC
I so have to buy that for my father! And unbelievable, people have compared your father to Saddam Hussien, I've done the same thing with my father! I even had him put on a beret, the resemblance was uncanny!

And hey never look down on a mustache comb, nobody wants to see a dude with a messy mustache.

And I agree, buy underpants for your parents is so wrong...it's bad enough when I have to put 'em in the wash...:OP

You could buy him some hilarious socks...:OD

LOL!! Well, he doesn't really look like Saddam - but that gun shirt kind of implies that all men with mustaches are evil LIKE Saddam.... But I would like to see him wear a beret now that you bring it up. Hmm... Maybe I'll get him THAT for father's day!

BTW, I know you've done quite a bit of Sims researching... have you seen any Incredibles Sim skins out there by any chance?? So far I've only found one and... it was kinda crappy. I could do better'n that myself, and I have no talent for simming. :P

On Sims Skins anonymoose_au June 16 2005, 03:42:34 UTC
I fear that I haven't stumbled across a single Incredible like skin, I assume you mean their uniforms. Although I haven't been specifically looking so there might be something on www.modthesims2.com/forums.php they have a section for superheroes and characters, but they may just be Anime characters.

If all else fails you can make a request there, I'll join in and someone who has talent might help us out! :O)

I would suggest a fine beret for your father, it'll give him much crediblity and make him look cool! But I still want that shirt...although it doesn't really work in Aus, we have strict gun control. But hey who needs a gun to kill. I can do it with my voice! :OP

Finally LOVE the icon! "You're not going out looking like that!

(PS Sorry to post twice, but no-one likes a HTML stuff up! :OP)

I've decided to get the beret. In blue. Every man looks distinguished in a blue berret, I don't know a single one who doesn't! Even GI Joe had one!

*sigh* Yeah, maybe I will try the board and make a request. We'll start a mob of Incredibles demanding sim skins!! WE DEMAND SATISFACTION! Perhaps we'll even challenge someone to a duel.

Hee hee, I thought you'd appriciate the McDonald icon... Very few people get it, which is so tragic.

Yes, getting personal wear for one's parents is a creepy thought.

Not as creepy as seeing one's father MODEL the gift underpants, however... *shudder* That's a repressed memory waiting to happen.

At least you don't have to buy a speedo for him! power12252 June 16 2005, 03:07:34 UTC
That is beyond wrong! What's next, is your Dad going to tell you buy your Mom sexy lingerie for her birthday? LOL! Actually, you should buy the underwear just to see his reaction. Take a pic of it, and then show us all.

"In my mind, my father does not wear underwear. Eww, wait, that came out wrong...!"

LMAO! There is no good way to answer that. ABORT! ABORT!

No, I only buy speedos for YOU Max! ;) missnickers June 16 2005, 04:58:47 UTC
Oh, thank you, you just reminded me of childhood, when my cousin and I would pull this red lingerie thingy my mom had hidden in her drawer and chase each other with it.... Frankly I'm surprised I haven't repressed that yet.

Okay, so you want me to take a pic of the underpants I give him, or a pic of him IN the underpants?? :-O Oh Max. And here I thought you liked me for me. Now I find out you were only using me to see my dad in his tighty whities!! *runs off sobbing*

Well, in that case, you can know what size *I* am! power12252 June 16 2005, 13:19:51 UTC
Wow. That is the type of thing that can scar a kid for life. You must have needed some serious therapy. Is that when your mom gave you "the talk"? LOL.

Awwww don't feel bad. You know that it's you I would much rather see in undies. ;) The pic of your dad would just be for laughs, and potential blackmail if he ever came after me with a baseball bat. :P

Another news item hot off the AP presses...

CHILDREN'S ENTERTAINER KILLED IN SEMI-TRAGIC ACCIDENT

August 4, 2006. (Los Angeles) Children's television personality Barney the Dinosaur was killed today in a gruesome auto accident. During a safety demonstration in a school crosswalk, Barney was teaching the children to look both ways before crossing the street when he was plowed over by a Nissan Sentra. Although the accident was of the hit-and-run variety, police have elected not to pursue the reckless motorist because as LA Chief of Police Darrell "Two Balls" Watson puts it, "It would really take away from our donut eating time". According to onlookers, Barney, after being struck by the vehicle, was thrown violently to the side of the road, purple grape jelly spewing from his many wounds. Though the children were officially saddened, school officials state that at least everyone got a free snack out of the ordeal. Barney will be remembered in a memorial service at Hooters on Sunday.
