I'm not kidding when I say that discovering that I can go back to as many cups of tea as I damn well please will be a pretty amazing piece of news to get. Wine would be another bonus, but not nearly as much as all the tea I can drink.
Well at least now you know what is wrong and it makes sense. I guess the MRI really was important. Don't be afraid to see more than 1 neurosurgeon because this is important and it's scary how much different advice can be from different doctors. If surgery is recommended for you than I would see a second doctor just to confirm, of you can. Does surgery CURE the headaches and vision issues? It might be worth it IDK.

It's a strange weights and balances. I would have preferred no need for an MRI ever, but if I had to have one (and pay so much for it!) I might as well see a benefit from it. There's no other way to diagnose what I have than to take a look inside.
The surgery doesn't cure but I guess it addresses the problem of the pressure? I think? I have a lot to learn.
Thanks for the advice. I'll definitely be skeptical about surgery, I don't want to do any damage to my vision, but 2 - 4 days in the hospital? I'm not going to just say yes to that.

I'm sorry that something turned out to be wrong, but glad that at least it was one of the less scary possibilities. *hugs*
And if it makes you feel any better, I had something very similar happen to me a few years ago (increased intracranial pressure, but from a different cause) and though they threatened the possibility of needing surgery, I didn't have to have it. It was able to be corrected with medication (and a few spinal taps) and I don't have any major lasting problems from the whole ordeal (just a really minor one where a tiny bit of the peripheral vision in my left eye was damaged, but I honestly don't even notice it in my everyday life). So I hope that you will also have a good outcome! I'll keep my fingers crossed!
Yeah. When the cards are on the table, I'll take some damaged vision over anything more life threatening. Definitely my hope is to avoid surgery. I'm a stubborn patient when I have time to think things through!

Well, supposedly if oxygen gets to your brain after it's all sealed up it is supposed to make you super creative. Is it true? IDK... but if you do have to have a bit of skull removed, you may have that to look forward to.
Although, in all honesty, I am hoping that will not be the case.
LOL your icon. BZUH? is right! I wasn't expecting there to be anything wrong either, and I was looking forward to having everything pronounced just a silly old headache.
