Adulthood! It's only getting more awful as it becomes less drinking and eating cookies for dinner and more "I have to get an oil change."

(It was so good! Even though Ben Affleck was a romantic, conflicted hero in a track suit.)

I'm exhausted just reading about your schedule! Geez. And seriously, why does adulthood take up so much TIME?

Haha, it's exhausting! But thankfully not very exasperating. I mean except for the nine hour chunk that is "Shackled to a desk pretending to work at a grown up job" it's mostly things that I enjoy or at the very least don't mind to do. So at the end of the day I'm not miffed that I didn't have much down time, just... wistful. You know, I'm thinking of taking a vacation day but instead of doing anything at all it will be 24 hours of self imposed house arrest. No real clothes, no real chores, no social obligations.

...But what if I like it too much? lol

We just need a way to eliminate jobs and then we'll be all set, lol. The rest of adulthood is fine and often fun, but jobs take up so much of the day!

I think taking a day off to relax sounds like a great idea. Everyone needs a day to recharge every once in a while! My problem is that I think I messed myself up by taking TOO much time off last year after grad school (a few months- I was not in a great place) and getting way too used to having ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD. /o\ It's hard to come back from that, but I don't think one day off presents any danger! :)

I've been having a mini-version of that because the BBB has either been letting us out early, or I've been taking short lunches and leaving early so staying here a full forty hours a week is feeling VERY unnatural to me. Like, it is literally all I can do not to declare today as a mental health day. I got up this morning and even in the shower I was like, "Oh god. I should just CALL. IN." But of course I didn't. Because it would have been quite silly and obvious.

We'll see how I handle next week though. ;) (PS- I'm glad that you're in a better place now and that this place includes skaters.)
