I was looking through French interviews with Stéphane again and discovered a couple things I never realized ( Read more... )

I love the French interviews so much, they are seriously such a goldmine. His favorite city is Madrid, because it's so ~passionate~! And I totally agree, there needs to be more fic with him being all "I can't help myself, it is my roots!"

It's a very different side to Stéphane. He seems much more quick to get riled up in foreign interviews, and expresses more way more complex feelings.

there needs to be more fic with him being all "I can't help myself, it is my roots!"

Stéphane: Latin Lover. It needs to happen. Seducing everyone is just in his NATURE.

Also, I know he cries a lot (AND I LOVE IT) but he also seems a little more quick to anger than people seem to use in fiction. He has much passion and jealousy to go along with his tears!

Haha I am being a model employee, clearly, by dicking around on friendsdfriends, but WHATEVER, work, the universe obviously wanted me to spend the rest of my day loling at Stephane returning to his roots by frolicking in the ocean spray and working on his tan and trying to convince strangers to build sandcastles with him. (Never have I wanted Stephane convinces Johnny to vacation with him, matching white speedos fic more.)

I am clearly a model employee by writing and posting my Five Fun Stéphane Fact while at work, so... maybe you and I should get together and create some sort of Stéphane-based company.

Stephane would ABSOLUTELY want to build sand castles all day and dance all night. And once Johnny got over the whole "playing with dirt" issue, I think he'd probably be the type to fastidiously adorn the castle with shells and seaweed and other decorating touches. And then once the dancing began? All bets would be off.

When I first got into fandom I was like, "Johnny/Stéphane? Dude in what universe?" because my impression of Stéphane was all ladybugs and zebras, all the time. When I found out he was actually a diva himself, thoughtful as well as moody, intelligent as well as funny, suddenly it allllll made sense. I mean he IS very whimsical and odd (and ridiculous) sometimes but wow that's not where it stops.

Hahaha, I'm a bit ZebraSwan FOREVER when it comes to my feelings, but I am writing the Evan transfers in Switzerland and Stéphane is a baker story on the kinkmeme and it's a LOT more satisfying a dynamic than I thought it would be. I know Evan has got a subtly sharp sense of humor but subtle humor is something I suck at writing. So unfortunately the story is all very fanon-based Clueless!Evan at the moment.

Oh Stephane. I love his dainty little clapping at the polo match. He really is a prince. And his father! So cute!!

(You HAVE seen the video of 19 year old Stephane sobbing into his dad's neck right? If not, you HAVE TO.)

I love that Stephane comes from such earthy roots and yet totally carries himself like a prince. But a young, wild prince, like England's Prince Harry.

I HAVE SEEN IT! It is amazingsauce. Stephane is just so open with his feelings all the time. I legitimately love the fact that he has such a great father. My little bb!Stephane is loved, awwww.

3. That pictures of Stephane with his dad is the CUTEST. Awwww. One of my favorite things in the world is sort of gruff, working class dads that love their fabulous sons. (Do you watch So You Think You Can Dance? One week the fluff pieces were about family or something and Billy talked about how his dad is a contractor and they build furniture together and my heart seriously grew 3 sizes.)

5. Oh, wow, Stephane at the polo match is SO VERY MUCH Crown Prince Stephane. I want fic where Stephane is actually a prince (modern day fic, I mean - I think maybe there are some where he's an old-timey prince?) and plays polo and pals around Europe with the other young royals (partying with Harry! hanging in Monaco with the Casiraghis! etc etc) and then he goes to the Olympics (or the World Championships or whatever) as the family representative and meets figure skater Johnny Weir.

3. Gruff Daddies Who Love Their Fabulous Sons are the BEST THING about figure skating. Johnny Weir's dad looks like a biker but will defend his son to the DEATH and it makes me so happy. The video of Stephane all overwhelmed and crying into his dad's neck while his dad is just infinitely patient and fond about his super sensitive weirdo son just SLAYS ME EVERY TIME.

(I don't get to watch much TV unfortunately. But the new era of accepting fathers is the best thing ever!)

5. The Prince and the Figure Skater sounds like the BEST IDEA in the HISTORY of ideas. It would be a perfect set-up for the best cliche in the world: the "But Daddy I LOVE him and I will give up the crown if I have to" scene. Jeeeeeeeeeeeez, someone should write that. Right now.

3. I HAVE NOT SEEN THIS VIDEO OF STEPHANE AND HIS DAD.

5. I wish I had a minion to write this fic for me! Threatening to give up the crown for ~LOVE is one of my favorite cliches.

Plus there's all the "he's a prince and I'm just a regular person" angst (Johnny freaks out about inviting a PRINCE to stay at his apartment in Jersey! Stephane is not your typical prince, but STILL). Which leads to Stephane having to prove that he loves Johnny no matter where he's from. There's nothing I love more than grand gestures of love!

Man, I want this fic SO BAD. I've never prompted anything on the kinkmeme, but I'm seriously tempted.

3. I hope you're ready to have your heart grow A MILLION SIZES!

5. PROMPT IT. OH GOD. You know that Prince Stephane would come up with the BEST grand jestures to prove his love to Johnny! You know what I also love! The sordid tabloid write ups where everyone accuses Johnny of being a hussy American gold digger and Stephane is like, "I don't care what they say!"

Ugh. The schmaltz! I need it!
