Favorite holiday memory
My great-grandma was big on not shooing off the kids if we really wanted to help. When I was four and wanted to help make the rolls for Christmas dinner, she put me in an apron that dragged to the floor and set me to work. Babies in a Cart!!!
I work in the heart of downtown Seattle, Washington (USA). There are several day care providers in the area and there's one in a building across the street from the one I work in. Every now and then if I'm outside at lunch or on a break I see the babies in a cart - it's a stroller with room in a square for about 6 little ones (we're talking ( Read more... ) -
Something cool that happened to me once...
It was sometime when I was either finishing junior high or starting high school, so we'll say circa 1994. At the time, my mom was a receptionist for a local dentist, and I would sometimes go to the office after school to wait for her to get off work, so we could go home together ( Read more... ) -

Last week my sister moved together with her boyfriend in a new district of Berlin, which doesn't have the best reputation especially regarding the crime rate. When we arrived in her new street, there was a couple fighting in the middle of the street and ... well, let me tell you, it wasn't nice.
