i sent an i.m. to my stepdad today and asked if mom knew i had the surgery?
he wrote back that she knew i was having it but not when so dad told her that it was done.. and then she said "i hope she is doing well"

WTF???

and she can't pick up the fucking phone to see for her self.

I'm sorry. :( There are some relations like this in my family, too, that just can't be bothered to give a damn. It hurts and it makes you angry, but all I can say is that she is missing out on a wonderful person.
