If you have to get surgery, I want you moved down here FIRST, so I can help out and it doesn't all fall on Nick, and we can have someone (me) with a car available to get you to your freaking appointments, home from the hospital, etc. I know you've made it through surgeries before on your own, but that doesn't make it right, and lower back surgery is a big deal.
And I hear ya about the pain. Mine has been bad lately, too, and I have the foot drag thing at times, too. The neuropathy is what makes me nuts - some days now it's really bad. And it has to be the disc causing it, because my blood sugar is beyond excellent. (Congrats on the good BP - mine has been good, too.)
yeah i was thinking that too. he said the shot should hopefully last a few months and that could put the time frame around the same time frame of coming there.
it's been really bad lately. i nearly panic at the thought of even leaving the house. as far as i know nothing's come yet.
I was just thinkin'.... If you get tired, sore, and etc., as quickly as I do these days (and I know you do) you should probably start NOW sorting stuff and getting rid of it and organizing, so it doesn't all snowball on you at the last minute when you are ready to move. The more you can get done ahead of time, and space the work out into lots of tiny little manageable bits, the better off you will be. Even if you just started doing a drawer or a box or two a day, it would get you there - and make the move much less overwhelming when it comes, y'know?
Hg, you're such a great friend. What a Goddess you really are woman. :) Oh, and I want to add one more thing here girls. I have high BP also, and for the first time in a long long time, mine looks good right now also! So on the up side, our blood pressure is good!
Hey girlfriend, i'm sorry you're having so much trouble with this. I'm pretty sure you explained your back problems to me once and I think you were contemplating surgery, or another surgery? I don't remember in great detail (sorry), only that your back issues sounded worse than mine. I empathize and will certainly try to understand. Maybe I can help in some way

Sounds like we have the same spine and shoulders. I've got spinal stenosis and had herniations in my neck that needed 2 surgeries to fuse me from C3 to C7 (my neck basically doesn't bend backwards anymore) and I still have a herniation or two in my lumbar spine. My shoulders are basically toast - I've had three surgeries for torn rotator cuffs, and they are both all torn up again, because the arthritis (bone spurs) in them is so bad, it chews up all the soft tissue. I used to get trigger point, facet point, all of those injections at a pain management clinic, but the ones with the local anesthetic like lidocaine wore off so quickly and really didn't do all that much good, and the steroid ones made me deathly ill - my body does not tolerate steroids in any form, apparently (which I have since heard is not uncommon for people with fibro.) So I have avoided going back for anymore of that brand of torture. I have thought about trying a TENS unit - I know some people who have used them and loved them. I don't know how you manage without

what is it with righthand sids? are we all right handed or just cast from the same cosmic pot that had a flaw in. any way think about taking hg up on her offer. it means i dont have to smuggle kerry into the countruy to look after you, seriously i can't sleep with out having rubbed the budha belly.... oh yesss belly *smiles moronicly for a bit*
any way i will send you the glittery thoughs to chace your pain away, or maybe sending them Nii-kins along would be more viable. *hugs* i really wish we could do more for you.
Thanks for the backup, bebeh! Yes, she does need to move down here, as soon as Nick gets out of school. I am going to start scouting out places for her to live pretty soon. What you and K. can do to help (besides staying healthy and happy so we don't have to worry about you!) is save your pennies so you can come visit, and we can have a fangirl party! Ok?
