Don't forget, it was - what - a year ago? - you were still living with them and their lovely ex-con roomie? There's another thing to be grateful for, you have your own lovely snug little place for you and your wonderful kid.

Your friendship is one of the many things I am thankful for - as has always been in my life, the family I have made for myself greatly helps compensate for the shortcomings of the family I was born into, and I count you among my "real" family. I wish to hell you didn't live so far away!

Hopefully in the New Year I will be in better health than I have been this year, and will have more time to chat, RP, beta, etc. - I know I have been pretty absent and reclusive this year, and I am determined to rectify that as much as possible after the holidays.

Isn't it amazing how people like those folks at that grocery come into our lives when we need them? They sound like wonderful folks, and the good things they do will come back to them someday, too. What a world. It ain't all bad, not by a long shot.

actually a little over a year now. (we moved in the beginning of sept.) yeah really glad i don't have to deal with his nasty ass any more.
i wish we weren't so far apart too.
that's a good wish for both of us to want better health. it would be so nice to not be in pain at least one day.
