You are right in the respect that she should continue loving her daughter even if she's gay. Sure she doesn't want her to go to hell, but realistically I don't think abandoning your own child will get you to heaven either.
Also, if she wasn't half-assing the religion, she wouldn't be sleeping around with a married man, especially since pre-marital sex is a big no-no...and of course she is only allowed to do it missionary which I doubt she is because what's the fun of an affair if you're having boring sex? :P
Exactly I do not find that cool at all. I really try to do my best to stay neutral and not judge others on their behavior but when you start talking shit about someone else when you're not "practicing" what you're "preaching", then that's when I have a problem.
You are absolutely right pre-marital sex is a big NO NO. Haha there are times when she would want to tell me how her sex was but then she would get embarrassed and shut up. I know she feels like that because she is a little overweight and is very subconscious about what he or others may think of it but weight does not matter to me. Yet I don't know from a guy's point of view lol.

Well that's odd. Why would the man have an affair with a fat chick? I find that weird. Maybe his wife is hideous, who knows? Or maybe she's really good at taking/sucking a dick.

It's hilarious to watch people who are so repressed by their beliefs that they end up committing more sins than if they'd just dipped their toe in the evil pool once in a while.
I know you're absolutely right! This is probably a good time for these people to take a second fresh look at their beliefs and wonder why they feel so repressed in the first place? It is obvious that what they are believing is not making them "happy" which probably makes them retaliate etc :-/
