I haven't actually been watching much of it! The auditions and semi-finals were shown as 14 episodes over 14 days though, so even if I had been watching I probably would have missed one or two. It seems like with the addition of Rikcki Lee and spamming us with episodes like that, they're really trying to get the ratings up, especially after what happened to Big Brother this year (it got cancelled after 8 seasons due to ratings/controversies) and after Natalie became our least successful Idol winner in the charts. I'll most probably watch it now they're up to the top 12 though!

It's definately all a little desperate! There's rumours that if Idol continues Andrew G won't be on it either - apparentally he's a little sick of the whole thing, which you can kind of see when hes hosting.
With Nat, what they're going on is that she's the only Aus Idol winner whose single (as in "Here I Am") didn't debut at number 1, and only sold like 7,000 copies in it's first week, and her Idol compilation album only went to 11 on the charts. I don't actually tihnk that's her fault though, cause "Here I Am" was a pretty weird song haha. Damien Leith's was way better! I think it had more to do with te fact that last season wasn't a very successful season rather then her not being any good. Matt has come out and said that he regrets having gone on Idol because he wasn' ready for the attention it gave him and that didn't help. It's all a bit sad!
