totally random but you asked for spam so: I totally thought of you the other day! We were in Bali and had a big debacle with flights coming home - our flight direct to Perth was cancelled so we were rerouted to Melbourne first and I totally sat there thinking "OMG I'm actually in the same state as Char at the moment!" It was quite stressful yet exciting. Not that we got to see any part of Victoria other than the airport, but hey - we were still in the same state as each other for about 3 hours! Thought it would be cool to let you know I was thinking of you :)

Also - Hawaii would be great, you lucky lucky thing! You could totally stalk people from Lost, even though the show will be over by the end of the year (sad thought!). My parents went there though and said it was very beautiful, my dad has also been to NZ and said that's lovely too... whichever place you do end up going, I will be extremely jealous of you, as Hawaii and New Zealand are the two places I have always really wanted to go! Lucky lucky lucky!

HELLO! That completely brightens up my evening cause it was so sweet of you think of me like that ♥! It does suck that your flight got canceled though I'm not surprised they rerouted you through here (I'll be even less surprised if it was Jetstar? Cause discount airlines like that, they run so cheaply that they cancel any flights that aren't completely sold). Anyway I hope it wasn't too stressful, cause I know our airport's pretty boring. Was this trip with Webb? I know you were planning one out to the Gold Coast, but Bali totally trumps that!

That was seriously my first thought about Hawaii lol. Does depend on where exactly their beach set is though! New Zealand probably looks more likely money-wise though; I'm really looking forward to it either way. (And I welcome spam from you my dear, seeing as we don't talk much since CU died!)

Yes, this was the trip I was planning for Webb, but no it wasn't Jetstar - although still a budget airline - Virgin/Pacific Blue. They cancelled the flight because there was a problem with the toilets on the plane we were meant to be on, but as soon as they got us off the plane, all the cabin crew buggered off and left some poor indonesian guy to tell us the flight had been cancelled. The sad thing was it didn't really affect Pacific Blue at all, all they got to do was fill up empty seats on their other flights, never mind that it took us almost 24 hours to get home when it should have been a 3 hour flight! Haha. Lesson: do not fly with Pacific Blue if you end up going to New Zealand!

D: Dude, that is terrible that it took them so long to get you home! I've had good experiences with Virgin in the past but I've heard they were a bit unreliable internationally (Ness got caught with them, I believe, when she got stuck in Fiji with the floods last year) so we were planning on Air New Zealand anyway haha. Glad you're home now!

HELLO YOU.

I have nothing against TS. Actually, I dug her first album alright. Mindless pop/country can be good for the soul. On that note, her beating Gaga? Total sham. We'll just pretend it never happened. But I think the main concern, on my part, would be that...Gaga is creative, funky, out there. She pushes barriers. She does new things. She's weird. TS? She's generic. Which there's nothing wrong with! Absolutely nothing. It just shouldn't beat out creativity. :-/ It's almost like...progress vs. fundamentalism, only the fundamentalists won. And everyone knows it just did not go that way. So, metaphorically, it is a symbol of us taking a big step back. Music is one of the biggest industries out there. If a local charity asks for donations, they get a few coins. If a singer like Lady Gaga asks for donations? She gets enough to buy her own country and then build 60 castles on it. It's a big influence on society, culture, and the minds of the populace. And it is scary to think that those minds? Chose TS over Lady Gaga ( ... )

HELLO!Oh, I actually agree with you on the whole Grammy thing - I was there on twitter with my TSwift icon admitting that Gaga was robbed! I just wonder if it hadn't been Taylor who beat her, whether people would be voicing such distaste against whoever did, you know? And they probably would, because the Gaga fanbase is a VERY passionate one. I was afraid that Taylor would for this exact reason, because all this hate is flying at her now haha. The progress vs. fundamentalism argument is definately a valid one, I think. I just find it amazing that Taylor with music that is subjectively pretty generic and probably kind of boring to most people is getting so passionately trashed all of a sudden because she won an award that a lot of people disregard anyway (in that many people, including Gaga fans right now, don't think the Grammys hold a lot of credibility anymore). I understand the argument but she didn't choose to win it, not to mention that apparently from what I do know about Gaga, her fanbase didn't seem to spike until her album ( ... )

Haha. Yeah, I don't know if I understand why people keep bringing it up. I mean I understand their argument, as we've both said. But there comes a time to just let things go. SO. IDK. I THINK TS AND GAGA SHOULD DO A SONG TOGETHER ABOUT FRIENDSHIP AND LOVE AND CRAP, OKAY? AWESOME.

Haha. Yeah, Australia does get movies late. BUT WAIT. DOES THIS MEAN SHERLOCK HOLMES IS JUST NOW IN THEATRES HERE? I CAN GO SEE IT NOW? OMG. EEE. I saw it, ahem, in NOT theatres. So if it is only just now in theatres here...I might have to go see it. :O I encourage you to see it though. It was FANTASTIC. The soundtrack was so unique, and RDJ was BRILLIANT.
