HELLO YOU.

I have nothing against TS. Actually, I dug her first album alright. Mindless pop/country can be good for the soul. On that note, her beating Gaga? Total sham. We'll just pretend it never happened. But I think the main concern, on my part, would be that...Gaga is creative, funky, out there. She pushes barriers. She does new things. She's weird. TS? She's generic. Which there's nothing wrong with! Absolutely nothing. It just shouldn't beat out creativity. :-/ It's almost like...progress vs. fundamentalism, only the fundamentalists won. And everyone knows it just did not go that way. So, metaphorically, it is a symbol of us taking a big step back. Music is one of the biggest industries out there. If a local charity asks for donations, they get a few coins. If a singer like Lady Gaga asks for donations? She gets enough to buy her own country and then build 60 castles on it. It's a big influence on society, culture, and the minds of the populace. And it is scary to think that those minds? Chose TS over Lady Gaga.

SORRY, BB. I didn't mean to step up on my soap box. It just happens sometimes. *headdesk*

WHAT MOVIE ARE YOU GOING TO SEE?

HELLO!

Oh, I actually agree with you on the whole Grammy thing - I was there on twitter with my TSwift icon admitting that Gaga was robbed! I just wonder if it hadn't been Taylor who beat her, whether people would be voicing such distaste against whoever did, you know? And they probably would, because the Gaga fanbase is a VERY passionate one. I was afraid that Taylor would for this exact reason, because all this hate is flying at her now haha. The progress vs. fundamentalism argument is definately a valid one, I think. I just find it amazing that Taylor with music that is subjectively pretty generic and probably kind of boring to most people is getting so passionately trashed all of a sudden because she won an award that a lot of people disregard anyway (in that many people, including Gaga fans right now, don't think the Grammys hold a lot of credibility anymore). I understand the argument but she didn't choose to win it, not to mention that apparently from what I do know about Gaga, her fanbase didn't seem to spike until her album got rereleased as Fame Monster, so it's a bit of a weird situation I think. I do wonder, not even as a TSwift fan but just as a non-Gaga fan, when the 'Godga' worship is going to end. Because for some people it really is worship. IDK IT'S 1.30AM, BUT BASICALLY I AGREE WITH YOU K. GLEE OLIVE BRANCH OF PEACE~

Hopefully I'll see Up In The Air, but if not, than Sherlock Holmes! Both of which only came out recently because Aust is lame and gets movies late.

Haha. Yeah, I don't know if I understand why people keep bringing it up. I mean I understand their argument, as we've both said. But there comes a time to just let things go. SO. IDK. I THINK TS AND GAGA SHOULD DO A SONG TOGETHER ABOUT FRIENDSHIP AND LOVE AND CRAP, OKAY? AWESOME.

Haha. Yeah, Australia does get movies late. BUT WAIT. DOES THIS MEAN SHERLOCK HOLMES IS JUST NOW IN THEATRES HERE? I CAN GO SEE IT NOW? OMG. EEE. I saw it, ahem, in NOT theatres. So if it is only just now in theatres here...I might have to go see it. :O I encourage you to see it though. It was FANTASTIC. The soundtrack was so unique, and RDJ was BRILLIANT.
