Bah.. oh the Lulu Lemon Frustration. I experience it daily too.. what a pain in our assess.
The problem with pilates, is that the chances of you losing weight aren't as likely as you getting more toned, since you aren't getting much of a cardio workout from the 1/2 hour session ( So frustrating, I know...) I like shape.com.. they have some good exercise regimes for the gym that apparently work ( i like to look at them, but I clearly don't stick to anything...) Good luck!
Lulu lemon is a wicked expensive brand that I think started in montreal. all the t. kids wear it. The clothes are actually beautiful and the pants are nice enough to wear as like, black pants. the comfort blows my mind. but at the same time, I can't imagine paying $200 for workout pants. I'm sure you noticed the brand, it's a circle with like hair inside. if someone points it out to you you'll see it everywhere
no. they are two girls that are from Victoria B.C. who started it, that one or two went to Emily Carr in Vancouver. It's now a spreading disease across Canada, mostly with people who don't even practice yoga and like to show their buttcracks and shop at the GAP.
I have absolutely nothing to saaaaay with regards to working out because I'm terrible at ever getting motivation, and I'm relying entirely on genetics and luck that I'll not look ridiculous come my trip after exams.
PS: I really hope that you and Jeff swing by after Hawksley!!!
Can I help? Tell me how! I don't do gyms, but I'd be more than willing to do anything else!
And you're definitely not losing weight on the scale because you're replacing fatty tissue (lighter) with muscle tone (heavier). When I'm fit, I weigh 5-10 pounds heavier than when I'm not. So there you go.
That being said, can I Pilates it up with you? It can totally slim down a waistline (not saying yours needs much slimming, miss fit). Can we have Pilates dates? Maybe we could join the next session of the Running Room's thingy? It's some night at some time. I don't remember... just a thought (read about it: Get Your Run On).
Ok Miss Motivation, I'll call the Running Room today and figure out what's up. I'd totally be up for that! It's Wednesday nights and Sundays (morning, I think) - does that work?
I liked that article you wrote (which I didn't even know you wrote ...) -- especially the beginning :)
And YES to Pilates dates. School's getting busier now so I really, really have to push myself to do it everyday. Company would be good!
Hahaha, I didn't know that you responded to this on here. I thought you just went ahead and started sending me relevant msn messages and emails without actually registering that I had written this comment. That's funny to me... perhaps not to you.
Anywho, we'll chat about this later when you're online. Do you know when the start-up dates are/were for any of the clinics? I don't know if you can just start mid-clinic.

Also, I'd offer to help motivate you but I'm worse at it than you are!

Maybe you haven't lost any weight because it's all been converted to super toned muscle.

And, although I haven't worked out enough for your theory to be true, I will convince myself that it is :)
