First off, pilates isn't going to help you lose weight. You need to combine an aerobic and anaerobic exercise program. (min time 30mins/day plus weight training) Drink 10 glasses of water a day and cut sugar out of your diet. This includes natural sugars in fruit. Only eat whole grain type carbs and stay away from potatoes. Oil based dressing only. And don't eat egg yolk (there's no nutrients in it anyways). This is my diet when I have time...but sadly I don't...hopefully in the next few weeks I will pick up on it again.

Good luck

Yah I wasn't doing pilates to lose weight - just to tone and try and find some muscle in those abs that I supposedly have.

Sigh. Cutting out sugar is hard ... I don't think I can manage cutting fruits out of my diet. They're so good, and otherwise good for you! At least I already drink that much water, and I already eat just whole grain carbs. And I only use oil-based dressing. Halfway there? We'll see :)

Screw all that crap. Just eat healthily. Eat what makes you feel good afterward. I hate crazy cutting diets. I'm a true testament to eating reasonably healthy foods (ignore the junk at magazine meetings... ha), keeping active (not to the point of being a crazy gym bum, because, again, that's nuts) and, as a result, looking healthy and slim ( ... )

I'm changing this reply as it was taken the wrong way last time.

As I didn't know before, the diet sexycrazian suggested was from her doctor's office. So, it's legit. But I can't cut out sugars from fruits ... I'm confused as to how I'd get my fruit intake. And I like fruit ;)

But yes, a big no to the fad diets -- I've recently read about people fasting for a week. And some eating only celery (you burn the calories from that while chewing, right?). *Shudder.*

And I'm probably by your definition a gym bum, but that's ok -- I'm not obsessive, I enjoy it. About a third of my "gymness" comes from outdoor activities, anyway.

So yes, Running Room starts March 13th. Are you in??

:)

YOU read livejournal?? I'm impressed. I'm glad you said "Nadine's tall friend," because I know you as Robbie, not Rob, and I would have been confused ;)

AAAAND, I totally have that. But it's at my parents' place (Prospect). Sad, but true.

Of course he reads livejournal. I've trained him well. :) hehe.

Don't call him "Rob"! He's been trying to change it for years. IT'S ROBBIE. ROBBIE ROBBIE ROBBIE. He will never grow up... not if I have my way. Mohahaha.

(Oh god that's going to the be the weirdest entry for anyone who doesn't know me.)

I've never played DDR. I should try sometime. I bet I'll suck.

Ha ha I doubt you'd suck! Madame dancer. My parents are going away sometime in April or May, so you'll have to come over and try it when I'm house-sitting. My sister's crazy-wicked at it, it's intense!
