Well, I haven't been doing much today, fandom-related things included. I've been meaning to work on a couple of fics, but I'm still a little tired from all of the fest fic writing, so...
Comment with a pairing (any fandom you think I know), and a prompt, and I'll write you a comment ficlet in response to said prompt.

I just couldn't help but think about the scene in The Empty House where Holmes turns up at Watson's office in disguise and offers him to buy a book of Catullus's poems... Coincidental? I think not!

He didn't believe in mourning. What point was there in that? What good could possibly come out of submitting to sadness in honour of someone who wouldn't even know - indeed, someone who wouldn't have approved, even if he had known?
Better, then, to remember the happy moments, to celebrate a long life well lived.
He remembered their walks on those long April afternoons, when the naked grounds were starting to flourish with life, the first flowers of spring scattered across the stark hills.

Frank held it up, eyes widening. "Are you serious?"
"Why, do you think I'm the only one who's going to look like a fool?"
"You don't look like a fool at all, love." He walked over to her and placed his hands on her waist. "You look gorgeous."
Alice batted his hands away. "Not so fast, Master Longbottom!" Grinning, she picked up her wand, pointing at him. "You still need to be interrogated, remember?"
Obediently, Frank sat down on the bed. It was going to be a long night, but he didn't mind in the slightest.
