I swear to God Terry Pratchett beams crap straight into your head. And God bless him for it.

Actually, a vet we talked to said that the most vicious dog fight he ever saw involved two very territorial Dachsunds. Not a long-haired like ours, there's too much cocker spaniel in her (and she's afraid of cats and rabbits), but the short-hairs.

while i was looking up the pictures for this i found some website that lists breeds by characteristics and dachshunds were rated low on the friendly scale.
