Fifty First Summons: Another loss

[Ai has been following Kikuri's drone around recently. But she's starting to realize that the little girl isn't going to snap out of it. People who know Ai may have noticed that she's even quieter then normal

[The library is not a place Slugger visits frequently. The books are of little interest to him; all seem to contain the same sort of info about baseball and fishing and other things that supposedly pertain to male adolescents. Usually he comes here only to see if a certain seven-foot-tall, hooded skeleton is wandering the aisles with his scythe.

Today he finds something different. Someone has built some kind of structure made of sheets and books in the library. Curious, Slugger approaches and looks for an opening through which to peer inside.]

["Okay". She said "okay". Suddenly, what pain?]

I think this time it'll be fun. [There's a very mischievous gleam in his eye and a grin spreading across his face.]

[miss_enma_ai]

Do you?

[That's a suspicious smile, but she smiles a little at it.]

[strike_you_out]

[Still wearing that scheming look, he drops his voice just above a whisper.]

I have an idea. [And now he'll actually whisper.] It's a prank.

[miss_enma_ai]

What are you going to do?

[strike_you_out]

[Slugger is a bit hesitant at first, but then he leans close to whisper into Ai's ear.]

Cut the power.

[Grinning, he leans away with a finger raised before his lips.] Shh, secret.

[miss_enma_ai]

[She nods]

[strike_you_out]

[He knows she would have kept it secret anyway. Slugger helps pull a few more books off the shelf for her, then he'll get up to explore the fort for a bit. It occurs to him that he knows just what would happen if Kikuri were here.]

...Kikuri would love to knock this down.

[miss_enma_ai]

She would. She likes to destroy things.

[Especially things Ai likes.]

[strike_you_out]

Maybe tonight we should knock it down.

[If they don't do it, it's likely someone else will.]

[miss_enma_ai]

...alright.

[They probably would.]

[strike_you_out]

[At least if the two of them did it, they could make it fun.]

I think she'd approve.

[miss_enma_ai]

[A slight pause and then she nods...]

Yes. She would.
